I really appreciated your story about casually but earnestly slipping in the request to leave work early on Monday afternoons to go to your Bible study. I agree that we should want to be forthright about our faith and why we're keen on it. And that the main reason for our work isn't to open doors of evangelism but that that is still *a* reason for Christians to go to work. Thank you for preparing and providing this resource.

I hate my job and it drains me of life energy, but the type of work I want to get into, I never hear back on when I apply.

Why do those who interpret this parable always avoid the importance of the description of the Master? Every word in a parable has significance and ALL the teachings of Jesus are radical and the opposite of the values of this world. So, I believe that Jesus identifies with the servant who buried his talent. The Master is described as oppressive and corrupt, so I presume all three servants were afraid of him. However, the first two did what they were told because they were afraid and didn't want to lose their jobs. The third one was afraid also and knew what the consequences of his actions would be, but he decided to stand up to oppression in spite of those consequences, just as Jesus did with the Jewish leaders and the Roman authorities during his whole public life. Look where that ended for him! Christians are meant to follow Jesus which can be very uncomfortable at times. This parable has nothing to do with developing our own personal talents.

The master told the servants that they had done well and then rewarded them. The only one who had any kind of description of the master was the third servant and in my studies I have found that he wasn’t telling the truth about him reaping where he had not sown . I have to agree that the master represented Jesus in this story

Coming from a man more interested in pandering to critical race theory than actually preaching the word of God in its entirety. I'll start believing he's serious when he begins calling out the apocalyptic levels of social dysfunction in the black community and the reasons for it. Christ was a tough talking no nonsense savior. Not the bearded weakling the modern American church seems to want to make him into.

Thank you so much Greg, this is sermon has blessed my soul so much. I have a great work ethic and strive to be the hardest working in my respective teams, but this on its own easily leads to idolatry. I am really grateful for the manner in which you rightly divided the word of God on this sermon. May the Lord bless you dearly.

One thing I would like to bring to notice here is that Genesis 2:15 is the first instance of God assigning Man to work and not the verse post fall. So work is not a punishment but our intended blueprint as part of very nature of God. He loves his creation and wants to have a relation with man to take care of his creation.

These aren't TED Talks. They're not even TEDx. There aren't even ideas worth spreading in this video. "I'm a good christian. I follow Jesus. I serve the lesser among us. I drill oil and natural gas. I don't believe in climate change. I'm a good christian." This just sounds like children playing at being adults.

Thank you sir for your careful study and teaching on this topic. It is too easy to think of worship as an activity for a short time on Sunday morning and maybe a few minutes every morning. Years ago God spoke to me from Colossians 3:23 and surrounding verses, and He has empowered me to obey His word (far from perfectly). The happy results are joy in my work and opportunities to show and tell His glories to other believers and those who don't know Him (yet). Thanks again!

4:12 to worship the work of our hands is a break from the hard labor of worship and prayer. we forget the meatiness when we dont stop to work with our hands.

Note this comment at 36:30 ~~> "We will never understand the story of work correctly unless we understand this. People are redeemed. Work is not. People are redeemed. Work is not." That comment along with its context are well worth thinking about.
